WEEK 9 WEIGH-IN! :)

I lost 5 pounds this week! :D

It’s not very surprising considering that I was up .6 pounds (because of my period) last week, but of course I’m still happy! I was at 209.0 at the end of week 7 so basically I lost 4.4 pounds in 2 weeks which is perfectly healthy. As long as I lose at least 2 pounds a week I know I’m doing my best. Since I’ve lost 29 pounds in 9 weeks that means I’ve lost an average of 3.22 pounds a week… AWESOME! I’m so close to being under 200 I can’t wait… 2-3 more weeks and I can say that my weight will never ever again in my life start with a “2”. AHHHHH I’m so excited!!!!!!!



WEEK 8 WEIGH-IN

I’m up .6 pounds this week, but I’m completely fine with it because there is a logical explanation. First of all (and most importantly), I’m on the second day of my period and I feel very bloated… I always retain fluid during this time so I know that I have a few extra pounds of water weight that I wouldn’t normally have. And secondly, I was pretty bad Saturday night and all of Sunday- too much beer, pizza, pasta, and chips… and not enough water and exercise! But even if I had stuck to my diet and exercise over the weekend I don’t think I would be down more than half a pound. The good thing is even though I kind of messed up this weekend, I got right back on track on Monday!

I’m very confident that I will lose at least 3 pounds this week. My birthday is on Monday, so I just have to make sure I don’t pig out at my favorite restaurant… but I think I’ll do okay. :)

I’m down another 2.8 pounds this week! WOOO! GO ME! I am unstoppable… LOL! Well it’s kind of hard NOT to lose weight when you run every single day and you expend way more energy than you take in. :D

I went to the grocery store for the first time (since I started losing weight) last Wednesday (before that I was just going out and picking something up every day) and I gotta say I was a little worried about having so much food in the house. It’s very easy for me to control my hunger if there isn’t any food around, but if there is I normally just keep grazing on everything all day… BUT NOT ANYMORE! I had no trouble at all this week only eating when I was hungry and stopping when I wasn’t. I even got a bag of Gardetto’s (my very favorite salty snack) and a couple months ago I would eat the whole bag the first night I got it, but it took me 4 whole days to finish it this time! Now that’s what I call SELF-CONTROL! haha. I also feel really good and healthy that I’m now eating fruits, veggies, nuts, and yogurt as snacks throughout the day instead of just not eating anything at all, because now I know I’m getting all my vitamins and minerals AND I have more energy which means I can run MORE AND MORE! Not that I ever had a problem with energy before, but I want to start running 2 hours a day so I need more than a regular person. It’s weird, because now when I eat I feel really good and as I’m eating something I’m thinking “Oh this is good for my body- it’s going to give me energy and it’s giving me more calcium, fiber, potassium, vitamins, etc.” when before I was just eating to taste something or feel full.

I cannot express how good I feel through writing! I feel so much more confident and attractive and HEALTHY! I’m so excited for the weather to get nicer, because I am going to be outside being active as often as I can (EVERY DAY!). I’m so excited to go out and meet new people and not feel dumpy and unattractive. I’m so excited to weigh less than 200 pounds! Only a few more weeks and I will have reached that first goal and I will just keep getting thinner and thinner. I’m so excited for when I will actually be at a healthy weight and not a single person in the world could ever describe me as “fat”, “chubby”, or “overweight”! I am meant to be a thin and active person and that is what I’m going to be! Everything is just getting better and better! I’M SO EXCITED! :D

I’m down another 2.6 pounds this week!

I had this really bad feeling that I wasn’t going to lose any weight this week, but yesterday I exercised like crazy so I think that really helped. I’ve lost over 20 pounds!!! In just 6 weeks!!! Wow that’s pretty amazing… but I’ve got a lot more to go. I’m only about 12 pounds from being under 200! That will be such a great day to get on the scale and have my weight start with a “1”... I’ll probably tear up… hehehe. Hopefully I can lose 12.8 pounds in 6 weeks- that’s my goal. I want to weigh 199 by May 16th. That’s a pretty realistic goal. I know I can do it! :D

Tonight I’m going to the grocery store for the first time in like 2 months and I’m going to get a bunch of fruits and veggies- YUM! I have been eating way less these last 6 weeks, but I have to admit I haven’t been eating as healthfully as I could be so from now on I’m going to go to grocery store every Wednesday and gets lots of good fresh food. I’m going to get a pineapple (my favorite fruit) and eat some tonight… ooh I’m so excited! :)

I was hoping for at least a 2 lb. loss and I did it! I know I gained some muscle mass as well, because I exercise vigorously every day. I’m going to keep increasing my exercise every week to prevent hitting a plateau… oh that’s so discouraging when that happens but I don’t need to worry about it yet. But yeah… I’m still doing awesomely with this goal! I don’t have much else to write so… until next week… good luck to every else! :)

edit: I just noticed the time has finally been fixed! That has been bugging me for weeks. YAY to the 43things people fixing it! hehehe :D

I’m down another 4.4 pounds this week! And I’m done with the 220s and never going back! YAY! :D
I was pretty shocked at how much weight I lost this week, but at the same time I wasn’t considering how much I’ve been exercising. I run and do 200 sit ups every day and the amount of food I eat is minuscule compared to how much I would eat just over 4 weeks ago. It’s still kinda weird to me just how much my relationship with food has changed! First of all I don’t really have a “relationship” with it anymore (hahaha) I think it’s just a friendship now… hehe. I don’t feel deprived AT ALL but I eat way less than 1000 calories a day. Now please, I don’t want anybody coming here telling me to eat more. I take vitamins and I am getting my DRV of everything except fiber and potassium (but I’m VERY close to the DRV)- which I know are very important nutrients so I am going to increase my calorie intake a little bit more and increase my exercise as well. But as of right now I have way enough energy to do my daily exercises and I am not the least bit hungry. I have no desire at all to binge or eat junk food. Just 5 weeks ago I must have been eating an average of at least 3000 calories and I always wanted more. I know now that I’ve made a lifestyle change. Even when I get down to 150 pounds I’m not gonna all of the sudden decide to start binging and stop exercising. Exercise is my life now. I’ve realized just how physically strong I can be and I just love being active! Another thing that is different now is that I am just taking this day-to-day. All the (hundreds of) other times I attempted to lose weight I always like made a plan before I started- I would calculate that I could lose X amount of weight in X amount of weeks and I would be like “Oh I can lose 40 pounds by so and so date” and all I would do was plan it out and daydream. Now all I do is make sure I get on my treadmill, do my sit ups, take my vitamins, not eat too much, and drink tons of water in a day and that means I’ve had a good day. And then I wake up and do the same thing over again. I think that’s why this time I’m actually finally losing weight and nothing is going to stop me from continuing! I am so happy! :D



3 weeks later...

So I changed my diet and exercise habits 3 weeks ago today and these are my results so far…

H: 5’ 7”

I also started using my body fat analyzer again:

Body Fat: 36.0%
BMI: 34.7

I’m really happy with my progress so far! I’ve lost 12 pounds but I look and feel like I’ve lost about 15-18 pounds! That’s because I’m sure I’ve gained at least a couple pounds of muscle.
My face/neck/shoulders/chest area is visably much thinner… and so is my waist! I’ve always has a very defined waist even though I’m overweight but it became less defined the last 6 months or so, but now it’s back! :D

The most I’ve ever weighed was between 240-245 like 2 months ago and now I can say that I will never ever weigh in the 240s or 230s again! And next week I’ll be saying the same thing about the 220s! I feel so, so good- this is the first time that I have actually followed through on diet and exercise and I know that nothing will stop me from reaching a healthy weight! I don’t feel food deprived, I only eat when I’m actually hungry, and I’m exercising everyday AND LOVING IT! :)

3 day fast complete!

So I can eat today… yay! Because I am very hungry. All I’m going to have is a 6 in. sub from Subway. I’m gonna get roasted chicken with a ton a vegetables on it… yummy! Last time I lost a significant amount of weight (40 lbs., almost 3 years ago) I lost it by only eating one thing a day- a french dip sub from Arby’s. I know that is crazy unhealthy, but I kept off the weight for almost 2 years. This time I’m going to do basically the same thing, but with Subway because it’s way healthier. Eating one thing a day just works for me. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with that, but it just works. Because my problem with food isn’t what I eat really, it’s howmuch I eat. I just normally eat way too much. I’m only going to do this one-thing-a-day diet for a couple weeks and then I will start eating more, because I know I will stop losing weight if I do it for longer than that. Ok well I’m down .8 lbs. from yesterday which isn’t much, but at least it’s going down! I decided I’m going to weigh myself once every 3 days from now on, so my next weigh-in day will be Tuesday.

Day 3- I'm hungry!

It’s now been… um… counting… 67 hours since I’ve eaten anything and I actually don’t even feel like it! Yes I’m hungry, but it’s more like I just want to eat something to taste it and smell it than I actually need it in my stomach. Last time I fasted, at this point I felt so sick and irritable I wonder why I feel so much better this time? Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing sit ups the past 2 nights and my abs and stomach are sore from that and it has taken away the hunger pains. Maybe it’s because I have been drinking a ridiculous amount of water (more than 200 oz. each of the past 2 days). Maybe it’s both, I don’t know I’m just glad I feel good! And I’m down 2.8 pounds from yesterday! :)

Day 2

So it’s now been about 39 hours since I’ve eaten anything and I don’t feel the hunger pains yet, but by tomorrow I know I will. I’ve gone on plenty 1 or 2 day fasts before and times when I just eat like a couple hundred calories, but the longest I’ve ever made it without food was for almost 4 whole days. It was this past October when I had to go to a wedding and the dress I was wearing was a little snug so I didn’t eat anything for 3 and a half days up until the wedding. Then of course I had to eat at the reception, but I really wish I hadn’t because the food was disgusting! Well anyways I know I can make it through this fast, because I’ve done it before and lost like 7 pounds the last time.

I’m not planning on weighing myself everyday, but I’m just going to through this fast to see how much water weight I lose. Down 2.6 pounds! Yay :)
