As a result of my ankle injury early this year, I barely exercised all spring/summer. It bummed me out because that meant no soccer or dance, and my physiotherapist even ruled out things like ballet and yoga because my knee and hip were misaligned as a secondary effect of my injury (and i think she suspected that i might be a little clumsy and might hurt myself more).
I started swimming again pretty reguarly – I still have a lot of problems with impact sports (running) though, so I think those will have to wait a bit longer – but swimming is perfect because its cardio + light resistance + no impact.
