Read Dr. Peter Boxall's 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

These are the books I have read fairly recently. I have read many of these books, however, I don’t think it’s fair to claim that I have read them 20 years ago if this is a new goal I am pursuing! Therefore, any that I read more than 5 years ago are not added to this list:

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Lewis Carrol (my absolute all time favorite book ever that I just keep reading over and over…you wouldn’t believe how many editions I have!)

A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens

The Color Purple – Alice Walker

The Fall of the House of Usher – Edgar Allan Poe (another fave author!)

Gone With the Wind – Margaret Mitchell

The Hours – Michael Cunningham

Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden

Native Son – Richard Wright

Instead of cutting and pasting the entire list (it’s pretty long) and editing it over and over, I am just going to list the books I read one by one, charting my progress that way. I can’t imagine too many people are too excited to see the whole list come up everytime they see this message!!! :)

I’ll die before I read all 1001!
