I got my tax refund, so I’m paying $2000. My payments are 215, so if I stay on the payment schedule for the rest, it’ll just be another 4 payments. I’ll probably pay it off earlier, though. Rawk!!

I’m getting the biggest tax refund I’ve ever gotten. Bigger than I imagined. I love you home mortgage interest deduction.
I’m going to use part of it to replenish my savings from the excessive vet bills over the holidays and the rest for a lump payment on my student loans. It won’t pay them off completely, but I’ll be able to see light at the end of the tunnel.
I had a lower than usual credit card bill this month, so I paid more on my student loans.
At this rate, they’ll be paid off in 2.5 years. Not too bad.
I think after my car is paid off, I’ll double up on my student loan payments. Even though I’ve paid more than half of what I originally owed on my student loans, the debt is still a lot, and I’d like to see it shrink faster. It’ll give me that sense of accomplishment I love so much.
