Take full advantage of my homeowners/property insurance

I got most of the big stuff in my living room inventoried. I’ll finish it up this week and move on to my music room.

She really wants me to schedule my jewelry (send her a receipt or appraisal to establish the value). I think she forgot that it was my musical equipment I was concerned about. But I do have one ring that could be worth scheduling. I need get it appraised, though, and that means time and money. Time is the critical issue in my life.

In the letter, she didn’t say anything about it costing more than what I’m already paying, so I think I should give her a call. I think she’d like that. The last thing she said in the letter is “You mean the world to me!” I’ve never been told that in the business letter before.

When I adopted this goal, I only intended to find the receipts for my high priced special items (like guitars and recording equipment) because my insurance agent told me I should “schedule” them. She said that means I should send them receipts or appraisals so I’ll get more benefit if they get damaged or stolen. Yesterday, I studied more about what it means and realized she didn’t tell me that “scheduling” things costs more. I don’t know how much more, so I’ll have to call her. I only found one receipt for one guitar so far. I thought I had a receipt for my recording equipment and keyboard. I hope I find it.

Anyway, as I was studying that issue, I decided it would be best to make a home inventory of most everything I have. Take pictures, record serial numbers, etc. I started that today with some home inventory software I found on the internets. It’s going to be a huge project.

My librarian friend has a bluetooth barcode reader. I might ask her if she’ll come over and inventory all my books, DVDs and CDs.
