DONE! Sort of, I didn’t “GO” to Nepal yet, but last night I purchased a plane ticket from Chicago to New Dehli to Kathmandu and then Kathmandu to Cairo to New York to Denver with a two day layover in Cairo. It’s in August 2008. It was $1,005 compared to tickets which sell for about ~$7,400 for six months in advanced. I won’t lie, I can’t wait for the year to be up.

the guide says “one airport with a dirt runway. a shack is the “control tower” and a wooden table serves as customs and security”...now how much better could a place get?! at the base of the himalayas, with so much tibetian influence, oh man. this makes the list. it’s not to far from puttya either, so there is a good chance this is where we are traveling next spring break. i speak hindi fairly well, not nearly enough to be fluent, but i mean i can get the point across. i speak more hindi than korean or spanish.
