Been doing some stretching on and off tonight, some plies and a sort of best attempt at a yoga Downward Dog, with my hands on a chair back instead of the floor as that’s as good as it gets at the moment. Felt a bit odd to be stretching my legs again but was so good on my shoulders after being sat at a desk all day.
I’ll be glad when my dance classes get back to doing syllabus work, we’re going a show at the moment and my Achilles tendons are suffering from not doing plies, I should really do them at home daily but I’m too lazy!
all the way down the back of my calves has seized up from not doing plies in ballet due to doing show work instead, that really isn’t helping this goal so I think I need to do those daily as well as some exercises for this
... really tight hamstrings and it’s the only thing stopping me from:
a) touching my toes
b) doing the splits
“frog” I can do without even trying, knees right to the floor and head on my feet, but this I can’t do… yet
need to start stretching every day coz I have a dance show coming up in the summer, so being more flexible would definitely be a good thing!
