Currently I’m trying to finish My Word Coach so my literacy in English is as good as possible. It’s interesting to learn new meanings and spellings and I’m disgusted at myself for actually wasting time when I could be doing things, yet I am here!
However, while here I found this cool site via cheering on a fellow 43er. It’s called LiveMocha and is all about learning online, for free, with online chat to native speakers, volunteers who help you, lesson plans etc.
My aim was to finish My Word Coach, then to do My French Coach, to get started, but I think I will combine the French Coach one with Live Mocha. The Nintendo coach games do help a lot but not with learning how to interact with a native speaker. You just learn the words and how to pronounce them. (So far that’s all I’ve done with My French Coach.) With the English one you learn how to spell too.
Anyhow, thought I’d share this link and make sure I didn’t forget it by putting it here. Live Mocha
