And deposited some blood. Last Friday. 6 mins and 34 seconds is all it took. Well, for the blood to drain. Plus admin time for assessments. All pretty pain free – except for that little thumb prick they do to check your iron levels and the blood pressure cuff – they are a bit ouchy – but only momentarily. And I always find it reassuring to know that the blood appears healthy.
I’m next eligible in October sometime. Hopefully I should be able to make it in less than 6 appointments next time. I kept getting colds, or things kept coming up, or I had blood sugar paranoias. But I am feeling healthy again now, so it should be good.

Hell, I had an appointment to have my blood sucked this afternoon, but I have a flu thing so I can’t donate (I just checked: you can only do so when you are completely fit and healthy).
I have made an appointment for my next RDO on the 21st May. I can’t believe how hard it can be to book a time even that far in advance. I had to take a time I didn’t really want at a location I didn’t want just to get an appointment that day!

I was thinking that I could coordinate this with my monthly RDOs. Do it early in the morning and then spend the rest of the day in the city. Make it a routine.
So, I need to organise this. My next RDO is on the 20th March.
