Strawberry Mochi Get!  — 5 months ago

TASTY!!!! The mochi was fresh and chewy~ Then the ‘an’ inside was so smooth and just the right sweetness! I didn’t think it would go with the strawberry, but it tasted great! The strawberry itself was very sweet too! Overall a gooey but delicious treat. I’m glad I decided to go back to the store and get it :D

PS: Back from Hawaii~

Planned!  — 7 months ago

Wow, so much has happened in the last 2 months. Got everything arranged in December and I’m going to Oahu for 5 days with 5 of my friends. We’ll be staying in Waikiki and visiting lots of places. One of my friends who I haven’t seen since she moved back to Hawaii 3 years ago will be there. I miss her a bunch! We’ll be eating out a lot, and going kayaking too! It sounds fun! All the money had been paid back, and all I need to worry about now is how to get to the airport the morning of (and back).

Possibilities!  — 10 months ago

Organizing a trip next April for me and my friends! Having them check their schedules and budget for this! I hope it is awesome!

Strawberry Mochi  — 10 months ago

This morning, I was listening about Ichigo Daifuku (Strawberry Mochi) where they wrap a fresh strawberry with red bean paste and fresh mochi/rice cake! I know they sell it in Australia and Japan… but I wonder if they have it in CA or HI. My friend mentioned they might have it in a cafe in Hawaii…

So if I go to Hawaii, I’m definitely looking for these!

Hawaiiiii!!!  — 11 months ago

I’ve never gone to Hawaii before, but I’d love to go! Sadly, the climate, beaches, and shopping are similar to Southern California but I think going with friends will really perk it up! After all, going anywhere with your friends is the best! We had originally planned to go to Japan, but that’s a lot more expensive, takes up more time, and I already went back in 2002. Perhaps in another five years laugh

The difficulty with being able to go to Hawaii isn’t really the money, although I know it will be difficult for my friends still in school to earn enough… so we’ll have to do our best to still cut costs. A lot of us are working now, and live fairly far away. It’s always tough to decide what to use the paid vacations on~ If anything, I’d love to go next May. Our school friends will be on Spring Break, the tickets are cheaper, the weather is fairer, and it’s not a really heavy tourist season then. I’m really excited about it!!

Some things I Want To Do:
- Eat Macadamia Nut pancakes!
- Hawaii Mall Food Court with Okonomiyaki & Takoyaki (heaven!)
- Snorkling
- Going outside to see the botanical gardens/aquariums/etc.
- Pineapple Plantation!

We’re not sure if taxi + busses or rental car is better. With 5 people, the price of taxi and bus should be fairly cheap. But if we’re only there for a few days, bus schedules may cause us to chew up the vacation time just waiting for them! There’s still a lot of time to figure everything out, but it’s always good to plan ahead~
