play with my cat more

Since putting this on my list I play with Eclipse a lot more. I’ll get to really play this afternoon when I have to give him his worm medicine.

Today I played with my kitty while home at lunch. I opened the windows (cause he loves to smell the outdoors as well as watch it) and told him we’d play outside when I got home from work. Luckily it looks like it’ll stay un-rainy for a bit at least so I can get some good quality time in with my boy!

Eclipse wants to go outside so badly but he is an indoor cat and he needs to realize that as long as we live close to the road or close to big mean cat eating dogs then he needs to stay in. However, I plan to play outside with him on a leash as soon as there is some fine weather (it has been raining cats and dogs here lately).
I notice his collection of mice (fake of course) has really been upped since he had me retreive everything under the stove (3 mice and a crinkly ball) and under the fridge (sad looking peices (that he still played with) of one mouse). His toy box is pretty full but he still plays with this half mangeled crinkly ball with almost no colour cause it’s been in his mouth so much!
Gotta love ‘em! :)

I have so little time at home lately with taking a second job that I have really made an effort to play with my boy. Last weekend when I was sleeping he found a package of fake mice and opened and played with them all. He was quite proud of himself. I love him to bits and he is so much fun to play with… I try to set aside time everyday.

Kylie is bringing Eclipse home today! She will be buying him his favorite furry mice so we can play!
