Last week I went grocery shopping and added to my plastic collection. I need to have the reuseable bags everywhere…
Minor setback though. I will need to get to making or tracking down some canvas/tote bags. I’ll tell you what the problem is, my damn car (sorry Goldie). Back when I wasn’t living in the rural most corner of planet earth I walked to get groceries and took my bookbag. I will be plastic free!!

I saved 3 bags – at least! :) I used my large and in charge reuseable grocery bag last night and it certainly did rock- to answer you question! When I went to the organic store I only had a can and a couple sandwich sized bags and she was all like “would you like a bag” and I was all like “lady, please, that is not how I roll”. Well, I am paraphrasing here but you get the idea. It felt pretty sweet I must say and I didn’t have the what do I do with this mountain of bags quandry when I got home I just hung my trusty canvas friend on the coat rack.
I got two canvas grocery bags from the grocery store yesterday they were only 1.99 and they are huge! I am going to look for spares at the next second hand store I go to but I now have my collection started. I am reusing the old plastic bags I have now. I can see the challenge being to remember to use them because I am in the habit of carrying handfulls of plastic out of the store. I plan on decorating my two reuseable bags tonight.
