donate hair to Locks of Love

I cut my hair on Wednesday after almost two years of growing it out. It’s probably going to be three years until I get that length back. I am enjoying my new hair. I think this is one of the easiest and most rewarding things I have ever done, and I would definitely do it again!

In a few months it will officially be two years of hair growing. Right now my hair isn’t really doing anything, just laying on my head. I got it layered a year ago, but I’ve kept trimming the ends to get the damage out, so the layers are pretty much out. I haven’t dyed my hair in several months. I can’t wait to finally chop this hair off. Then my hair will be all fresh and gorgeous like when I was a kid!!

My hair is the longest it’s ever been. I meant to cut it this month. It’s getting unmanagable. BUT, I think I’m going to work with it and let it grow some more. I am paranoid it won’t be long enough, so I want to be absolutely sure.

Locks of Love is an organization that makes hair pieces for children.

I actually started growing my hair in 2004. I didn’t cut it all that year except for a trim and some layering because it was getting heavy. It’s the longest it’s ever been now! I plan on donating it in June. My friend Laura has already volunteered to cut it for me!
