spend more time with my grandma

and she loved it! I’m really glad. I spent my fri. afternoon hanging out at her house (computer scrabble, baby!) Earlier in the week, she came over for dinner and then I opened the vents in her crawlspace (thrilling!). Even though it was a dirty job, I felt good about helping her and I know she really appreciated it. I’m headed over next week on fri. afternoon to help her more on the computer. Maybe it will become a weekly thing?

jumped her car, opened vents in crawl space. Checked out the garden, listened to memories of me standing in her yard when I was 5, next to a cooler at a “Welcome!” party for her. She said that that was when she started to love her home- I think it was just part of her story… haha! Coming for dinner at our house tonight…

We had dinner at this really cute little new restraunt in town. It was great to see people that my whole family knew and that she knew personally. An old friend stopped in the middle of the street to chat- she was so happy to live somewhere that that happens all the time. The whole crowd sang “happy birthday” when our pie came. The experience went really well and reminded me how much I love her.

dinner. way fun! Tomarrow is her b-day; we are going out to dinner and I threw her a bowl in my ceramics class, but I’m not done with it yet (oops!). She’ll understand.

tonight she is coming over, i’ll show her pictures from my trip. Always a good visit when there is FOOD.

At her house. She told us stories of how she helped on the first total hip replacement. What an amazing woman!

At 76, she is still active and outside, so I want to spend as much time with her as possible!
