We’ve edited the 1500+ photos down to a more managable 100ish for family/friends, these are taken by both M & I:

We watched a slide show last night, only 1 week since we arrived home and our first few hundred from Italy (our first stop 8 weeks earlier) seem so long ago!
I’m so thrilled to have these to look back on to remember our adventures… my family, on the other hand, are very frightened of the prospect of a photo night…
remembering past adventures, parties, holidays, moments, people—that’s what makes me realise how important it is to take more photos. Memories sparked that may otherwise not be…
And then there’s just cool photography: black and white, macro, random colour blurs—it’s all good.
M and I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5200: small enough to take anywhere, bought especially for the Euro adventure. Tried the smaller Canon - very cute, but I actually found it too small to hold comfortably. M has an older Nikon Coolpix, one of the first models that came out, it’s still good but getting the new camera makes you realise just how rapidly technology changes - it has some amazing (perhaps unnecessary!) features.
