I am such a failure with this goal. I originally posted my list of books that I wanted to read and I might have picked one of those books up once and read a chapter… maybe. I have never been much of a reader.
However, I have started reading the Left Behind series. I am currently reading the first book and I am half way through it. I cannot seem to find enough time in my busy days to read this very interesting book. It is very interesting.

I am not much of a reader. I do not even know why I added this goal. I purchase books and I end up just letting them collect dust. I guess I figure that I can get information from them by osmosis or something.
I had a rude awakening at work a while back, however. Just because I have a lot of knowledge and have been there quite a few years, does not mean that I will always be there. I need to get out of my old ways of thinking; the old ways of doing things based on company culture.
I ordered a book called Professional Software Development by Steve McConnell. It came in last week, but I did not know it was at the house until yesterday. I have read exactly half of it since finding it yesterday. It is a very interesting book that explains the emerging profession of software engineering which is a often misused term.

I so need to do this. I am not much of a reader, but I need to start picking up some books to read. It is the best way to learn new things.

I am currently reading a book entitled Sheet Music: Uncovering the Secrets of Sexual Intimacy in Marriage. It was written by Dr. Kevin Leman. He is a psychologist and Christian author.
This is a good book that I recommend for every married couple whether you have a fantastic sex life or not.

My pile has not changed, but I had to reorder it. The iLife ‘05 book is now at the top of the list after trying to play around with iDVD last night on my Mac. :)

I have so many books that I have purchased over the years that I have only flipped through a few times and read a few pages of. Most of these books are technical programming books.
I do have a few books, however, that I should read from cover to cover. I have never really had the patience to sit down and read a book from cover to cover, though.
I sat in the doctor’s office and read about 20 pages in a book this morning and started getting into the book. Maybe this is something that I can do. :)
