I have been trying to drink less coffee and more water lately. Only two cups of coffee in the morning now instead of 5 or 6 throughout the day. Later in the day … Four or five 12 ounce cups of water. I have lost about seven pounds over the past couple of weeks. Now I need to start exercising… whatever that happens to be. ;-)

According to the doctor, my cholesterol level is around 298. Way too high. I am now on a low fat, high fiber diet. He also mentioned something about exercise, but I am not really sure what that is. :-)
Anyway, my goal is eventually get down under 230.
I am not doing so well right now. I am not sure if it is because I am bored or because my wife is pregnant and I am keeping up with her, but I might have lost a pound or two since starting this goal. I need to quit having the late evening cereal and ride my incumbent bike at night while I am reading.
I like this goal. Being a software developer who gets not much exercise, this goal is not too far reaching for me. It would help me get started on the track of losing weight. I am currently around the 315# mark.
