I lived in France for three months. Everyone spoke english, so I didn’t have to use the little french I knew. I tried, but I didn’t know much so it was easier for people to just speak english to me. Every french person I came across my age could speak english. I couldn’t get past a greeting in French. I felt completely uneducated. So, I’m not going back to France until I can prove I’m not an idiot!
And it’s a beautiful language- whether I knew what they were saying to me or not, atleast it was pretty!
