lost momentum

there was a time when i couldn’t leave the house without my camera, and happy accidents kept me taking pictures which made me happy.
today, after a camera theft, a spell in a town with no security, and a bout of travelling enough to make tinker bell quite dizzy, the new camera sits in the bottom of a drawer, forgotten in the dust.
let’s see what we can do about re-activating that…

i have stopped taking pictures. i think this month hasn’t been that good for me. however, i will be going travelling in february/march (carnival in rio!), and i have signed up to a short course in may, so hopefully all these things will inspire me…

i will enrol in a photography course this year. i’m thinking of doing a short one, rather than a full degree or anything. let’s see if it sticks!

the places you’re in will either give you lots of images or not, but it really depends on how you feel about the places you’re in.

when i was on holiday recently i took some really good photos, i was very happy. usually i don’t like taking photos when travelling, as i think you should be in the moment, not taking photos of the moment. still, this time i think i managed to strike a good balance.
now i’m back home and i just can’t find anything to take pictures of. everyday: wake up, get on the tube, walk to the office, and then reverse the process.
i need to get somewhere else, but don’t know where. maybe i should organize myself some photo-safaris.
this weekend there’s a street festival in bethnal green, so i’ll go there see if something comes up…
