Take a moment each day to notice that I love my life

is visiting NYC and painting the apartment. i had my doubts, but he seems to be doing an awesome job. mental note: love my relatives, expect the best from them, let go of need to control.

i love that we have tons of neices and nephews and kids and love.

because i love diversity
i love the united nations. i wish more people supported the un.

And part of loving life is being aware of and open to twists and turns and possibilities. And not forcing my own idea of how everything should turn out.

Like Friday night I had the chance to hang out at the book store w/one of my 7 year old daughters or go make empanadas with my husband and other 7 year old. We talked and decided to stay at the book store.

It turns out S.E. Hinton was speaking there. And I heard her talk about “The Outsiders” and making it into a movie and I was totally inspired. But it wouldn’t have happened if I rushed off to the empanada-making event!

The secret to loving my life is staying open.

I love that I had a party and dozens of excellent, fun people were there.
I love that my sister visited me w/her littlest darling.
I love that it’s springtime and some trees are flowering.
I love that my kids are gorgeous.
I love that I make money for doing something I love.
I love that I am really pretty.
I love that I am really smart.
I love that I am really humble.
I love that I am really funny.

Because I don’t always LOVE my life. But in some moments I really do. because I have an awesome job, awesome family, and awesome home. gotta wrap my head around what I have and not what I’m missing.

Especially those with similar, creative, crazy husbands. I love that I am not alone in the world, but there are kindred spirits

And I must admit, I love my busy, hectic life although I do, do, do and forget to simply be. Just for today…. I’ll stop now and then to realize I’ve come a long way and the troubles and obstacles I have today will someday be history too. And I will think I’ve come a long way from today.
