be a journalist

I’ve known since I was a child that there was something out there for me in the world of writing. I don’t know it it was my always creative stories that engulfed my teachers or if it was just that I used words well. Either of which it has always been an outlet for me. I’m trying to reclass from my current MOS as a scrub tech into a broadcast journalist. In high school I was captain of my debate team, president of the writing club, went to states all 4 years and I am a public speaker for Rotary International. I may sound like an idiot, but I wanna be a writer that makes a difference. I wanna be the next Maria Shriver. I just hope I the Army will put my foot in the door and let me swich MOS’s into this one.
