learn how to draw

A friend has been encouraging me to draw, with the help from a friend and a book, I’ve started to learn and I’m not doing too bad although I feel it’s not really me who is doing the drawing since I’m using a book to show me how but I guess I’ll get the hang of it by myself eventually

for the past week I’ve had this vivid image of a scene in my head, the weird thing is I don’t know where it came from as I didn’t set out to come up with a drawing, it just seems to be there. I’d love to learn how to draw so I can get it down on paper
