make some pretty bags/pouches for crystals, tarot cards and herbs

I spent part of this hot sunny day here (much too hot to go outside) with the door open and my lovely friend Sam working on my first bag/pouch.

I did all the sewing myself and it has a lovely pink lining and a velvety green outside, gorgeous, I have lots of fabric in many colours to do more I intend to make about 10 pouches/bags with specific colours/linings to suit my taste

We just did this one off the hoof, no pattern/template just did it by eye.

I’m very proud of myself, I haven’t been anywhere near a sewing machine for over 25 years, so I didn’t know how to wind a bobbin lol (I do now)

I’m gonna make a template, buy some decent scissors, as mine are rubbish and make some more in different fabrics and colours

This is a fun project with no time restrictions/pressure so I can do as much or as little as I want

I’ve already thought of other things to do as I want to kit out my therapy room over the winter. (I feel cushions coming on…:D)

I bought some fabric and lining and some cord to tie them with the other day as I wanted to start this

I didn’t have a clue but the lady in the habadashery shop was really helpful my neighbour is going to help with showing me how to use the sewing machine and how to make a bag

Then I’m going to do the rest myself woohoo

It’s something I have wanted to do for ages, all the different fabrics ling and cord and some sewing needles for the sewing machine weren’t expensive
