Down 3 pounds! 16 months ago

Since my first entry here, I am down 3 pounds. This weekend had me running around and shopping like mad. Any how, I got all 5 of my children signed up for soccer so that should start in a couple weeks. Feeling a little better for more daughter.

Her wii Fit workouts, have her doing yoga and running in place. That’s more running than she has done in a while and I think that the lunges she has to do will help her during soccer practice as well.

My mom has all the Richard Simmon’s “Sweatin to the Oldies series” and is willing to give them to me so I can do them with my oldest daughter.

Getting moving 16 months ago

Well, I started the da writing in here that had to start doing something for me and my daughter. Believe it or not, I actually did. I got my daughter to spend an hour on the wii fit. (Hey don’t laugh, at least she was up and moving) About an hour later, I popped in the old “Richard Simmons Sweat’in to the Oldies” tape and my daughter was right by my side. It was so much fun to do this again after all these years. Best of all, my daughter actually enjoyed it. She said that it was easier to follow than most if the other tapes I have tried to ge her to do with me, and she would be willing to do it again tomorrow. I’m so happy!!!

As for me, after dinner I got on the wii fit and did 15 minutes of step- and 15 minutes of running. I’m also working on my yoga poses and boy can I feel the burn on those sometimes.

Dinner was very sensible also. We had fresh steamed broccoli, cucumber salad and baked chicken with rotisserie spice on it. Everyone ate well and it really was a healthy meal. Not bad for someone who just started something today on a whim.



Finally not Obese but still overweight 16 months ago

In a year, I have gone from obese on the BMI thing to just overweight which is good, but still a long way from normal.

My mom just got back from the Doctor and she has to loose 50 pounds by order of the doctor because she is in jeopardy of becoming diabetic.

Beyond that my oldest daughter is also considered obese and I am really scared for her. She’s been in dance class and has played soccer for the past 3 years but the weight doesn’t ever seem to move even when she’s training for soccer. We have the wii fit and it has helped some, She’s moving around more but I’m really scared.

As for me, I always loose weight when I start back to work because I am always on the move. Being a teacher running around the schol all day has it’s advantages but I still feel like I need to do more.

So we will start tomorrow on a new schedule, with more exercise and better foods. I’ve already been changing their diets and with alot of fresh fruit and salads instead of chips and stuff but that’s harder in the fall when all the activities start up.

I have to make sure I keep this up and do it right. Loosing weight together with my mom and my daughter should be a great time. At least I’ll have the support.
