I helped Ms 17 do her room, she’s on crutches and so she needed help.. and we threw away so much stuff, as well as two bags for the good will shops.

giving away books, I read them and then hog them, but this week I took a bag full of books that i’ve read and no longer wished to keep and offered them to everyone in my class for free… they were very shocked and some took books and some offered to pay I said NO, but I felt good :O)
I find like most things the more you do it the better you become, and so I’m now finding it much easier to just throw things away, where as before I’d be holding onto them because I might need it or want it some day, now I look at it and say “get rid of it” I think maybe I’m becoming less sentimental and more realistic….
Ekkkkkkkkk… Am I growing up??
and this from a self confessed “Pack rat” who hoardes everything.
Seriously I’m finding it easier to throw things away as the days go by!
I got rid of a bunch of stuff and started weeding out the books that I’m unlikely to read or read again if I’ve already read them, I cannot afford to keep holding onto books and besides that it’s cruel to the books, and my poor bookshelves are groaning with the added weight…. so I found some ready to take pics of and start listing them on ebay :O)
I brought huge artist scrap books to oput in all my children’s bits n pieces and so I had to clean out the filing cabinet to sort thier things into piles and while I was in there I threw away alot of stuff- I mean of course that it went into the correct recycling areas. No one in the family seemed as pleased as I was I guess their motto is my old motto “Out of sight out of mind” Well NOT ANY MORE!
just yesterday I cleaned out the top of my walk in robe there’s a shelf where things keep getting thrown and forgotten I figured since they’d been up there so long I obviously didn’t need them so I threw them all away…...
YAY me :O)
Gee Cheryl’s book is really working!!!
I cleaned the mAin lounge room and just chucked all the piles of stuff that was on the dining table away, I figure I haven’t used them why keep them…. mostly old letters and papers etc.
Last week when I had my wardrobe makeover I got rid of 3/4’s of my wardrobe and that went to my cousin and then to the charity shops.. it feels good to be “free” of stuff!
She cheered me and I went to cheer her and discovered
“Discardia” sounds perfect for a pack rat like me I’ll start today!!
