Woo Hoo!!! 9 months ago

We’re finally buying a house! We got the mortgage, gone through all the inspections, appraisals, etc., and now we just have to wait until the closing. YAY!! Just keeping my fingers crossed double until then that everything is smooth sailing from here…

Third time's a charm? 11 months ago

We’ve tried to buy a house every year for the past three years (lots of long stories that just amount to us not quite being ready). We’re in the process of applying for the mortgage again & I am starting to get stressed out. We found a wonderful program, but it’s just taking some time. I am so scared that my dreams will be shattered again, and I am desparate to get into a new place. My rent is so insanely high and my mortgage will likely be at least several hundred dollars less than my rent…I need this so badly. So just putting this out into the universe – please let me get this mortgage so I can buy my dream home!

I can't believe we're doing this... 22 months ago

My husband and I just put in an offer on an adorable 3 br. ranch literally five minutes from the ocean. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying that the offer is accepted. I’m so nervous! We may not hear for a few days – it is a pre-foreclosure and I’m not too familiar with the process in dealing with the banks. Please pray for us!

Hope for 2008?? 2 years ago

So we’ve been renting for a year and a half with no hope of buying a home for at least another year or two. And then lightning strikes and we realize we just need to look at a different area. The county we live in is one of the country’s most expensive counties to live in. If we move just south, literally twenty minutes away, we can find housing that’s affordable! Not just that, but nice 3-4 br. ranches with average size property in very nice, safe areas with good schools. We could pay less to own than we currently do to rent, although it depends on our down payment, which will be small. So the prospect of owning a home again is potentially just six months away (that’s when our lease is up)! I’m keeping my fingers crossed and contacting a motgage broker to make sure that this could be a reality!
