My bff is eager to set me up with this guy she knows. She thinks he’s the cat’s meow, and that I’d really like him. But, he has a daughter, and I don’t know how I feel about that.
If he’s with me on the weekend, should he be with his little girl instead? I don’t want to meet her either. My nephew was heartbroken when his father broke up with his long term gf, and she was crushed as well, because she thought he was a great little kid. I’m not willing to always come in second or third, which is inevitable if you consider that his little girl should come first in his life, and her mother inevitably will make her own demands upon him.
Of course at my age, all the men who are single are divorced/fathers or sufficiently damaged to make it quite clear why they’re none of the two above. Or gay. And soon not even being gay will keep a man single necessarily. (Yay, for equality, but now who’ll be available for hanging out on a saturday night?)
Maybe dating is simply too complicated once you’re out of college.
