Have a tidy bedroom and keep it tidy

I guess it’s time to cross this goal off from the list. Before I left Manila, I cleaned my room there and I’m pretty sure it’s still as tidy as I left it. Here in Singapore, since I don’t really have much stuff, the room I have has been kept tidy since I moved in. :)

Today, I cleaned one shelf that I had trouble cleaning because it was full of mementos and memorabilia from 2003-2006 and going through those things always made me miss the past. Today, I dealt with the past head on and in a wonderful way, I released myself from it. Now, I have new space for new energy to flow into my life.

Here is a picture of my closet. I started organizing it in September and I’m proud to say that it has come a long way from the black hole that it once was. I can now easily come up with great outfits because I have a better idea of the stuff I have and where everything is located. :) There are still 3 more shelves on the right-hand side that need a little organizing. Hopefully, I’ll get on them this weekend.

yesterday, while cleaning that shelf i told you about in my previous entry, i found $100 lying around. haha. see, the world works in mysterious ways indeed. i am reminded of a goethe quote i like which goes, ”...the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occured. A while stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way. See, because I decided to clean my bedroom, I found money which will go to my goal of saving up $1000. Haha. I love the universe.

so i’m still nowhere near done with this goal and i’m going out of my mind just thinking about the amount of things i have to find places for. how i accumulated this much junk absolutely eludes me. =( icks, goal today is to clean up one shelf to put all my scarves.

i spent the entire morning folding clothes and fixing my first closet. i still have 6 shelves to sort out and i’m hoping to fix at least half of that today. i never realized how much junk i have until now! i really don’t have ANY right to go shopping anymore. haha.
