For all the aussies out there who are trying to learn check out this site… you have to register to take full advantage of it, but its free.
Basically its an online index of all the auslan signs and shows you what states they are used most in and the definition/context
and it shows you with a little video clip

I start my course on wed… im excited.. has anyone done the Auslan Community Course “Sign Language and the Deaf Community” course? Do you recommend it?

well my friend and i have booked into a 6 week introductory course… which sounds really good, that is all i will have time for at the moment tho, cause in 7 weeks i start full time study away from home again.
but i am looking forward to doing this course! :D

ohhh yes this is one i want to do! my boyfriends mum is deaf, and although she lip reads i think it would be really cool to talk to her in sign language :D
i know the alphabet so i guess thats a start!
