Well, it’s not exactly week one in the overall diet, but it’s week one since I’ve started doing it on here. I’ve had a LOT of ups and downs over the last year, and I haven’t taken losing weight too seriously. Now that things are calming down, time to kick it into high gear.
Week One: -1.2
Now that I am exercising considerably more, I am finding that my appetite has considerably grown. I have eaten like crazy the last five days, successfully sabotaging my efforts to lose weight, and have even gained a few pounds (I really have eaten a LOT!). After doing some research online tonight, I am going to try to modify some eating. Milk before and after my workout, and some fruit and protein for breakfast. (Ironically, I hate milk, but have found myself craving it the last few days. Skim, of course!) Giving it a try for the next couple of days!
This is sweet and tart at the same time. It is 3 Weight watchers points and approximately 150 calories (give or take).
1 Sambuzon Acai Smoothie pack, frozen and used according to package directions (it is just pureed acai you stick in your freezer, then run some warm water over it before using)
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 tsp ground flax seed (optional—you can also use some flax seed oil)
2 tsp Splenda
1 cup warm water
Combine all ingredients and blend!
I rounded it out with an egg for some protein. Very tasty breakfast!
UPDATE: Oops, I just realized today that it was actually CRANBERRIES I put in this thing. Oops! I wouldn’t ever think to put cranberries in with acai, but it is totally yummy!
