The last few days have been harder, what with money issues, a husband with the flu, and PMS to top it all off. But at least I’m still trying ... still meditating in the mornings, still writing down five things I’m grateful for each night. Fake it until you make it, right?

1. Make a list of things I’m grateful for every day
2. Every night, make a list of things that made me happy that day
3. Smile at everyone, even if they don’t smile back
4. Combat negative thoughts with cognitive behavioral strategies
5. Breathe deeply when anxiety strikes, before acting or speaking
6. Say something kind or complimentary to someone else every day.
