I’m going to the opera tomorrow. It’s not new for me to go to the opera, or even the SF opera, but I’m seeing La Rondine, and not only have I never seen it, I’ve actually never played it.

Friday K. and I are going to hear Voxtrot at Bimbo’s. I’ve been to Bimbo’s, but only once, and K. has never gone. And I’ve never heard Voxtrot before.

Other things: my friends from DC were here over Thanksgiving weekend and we went to a new place on 9th Ave. I also went and had Thanksgiving with my colleagues/friends in San Carlos. Among other things K. and I got our first engagement gift.

I’m hoping some of those are new enough to count. Really, so much of my life is still new that I can almost mention something every week. Even yesterday: it was the first time I took the #48 all the way from Potrero Hill to the Sunset.

December: nothing specifically planned, but I’m sure there will be plenty that will keep me occupied and interested.

I feel like I’m cheating on these goals. I’m always doing something new and fulfilling, I can’t seem to help it! At any rate, here is one for the fall:

October: it appears (tickets aren’t bought yet) that I’m going to see my first Wagner opera live. It’s about time, too. Hard to believe I’ve never done this.

I’ll also play Annie Get your Gun, which I’ve never played before. That will be fulfilling as long as it doesn’t hurt too damn much.

I don’t know about the other months yet.

I have a question about this goal: why was the summer one June July and August but we just skipped over September? Shouldn’t the fall one go through November and the winter one start in December?
