update my website

I just got the main page ready yesterday, and now I want to change the background colour! I can’t do that yet, my patience can’t take another day working on all the little graphics again.. Maybe the dark dark grey is ok for now.

The text is in Finnish but there is an English version on the way as well. When you click on the picture slices they will open up new pages where there is all the 4 slices of the same picture – does it make sense? I’ll make one ready and show you later…

See now, it wasn’t so hard was it? It’s great to get started.

Ooh, lots and lots of progress made on this one today. I was browsing through some great designs and found a layout that I’m shamelessly going to copy. I won’t use any of the guy’s artwork of course, just the general design which is quite fresh, albeit not totally unique.

I did a practise main page today in Finnish, but as it needs quite a lot of graphics to be done, it’s nowhere near ready even for an examplary screen shot. Shouldn’t be too long now though for the design, but getting all the contents in might be a whole other thing.

Right, it’s about time I rolled up my sleeves and made some important decision concerning the new appearance of my website. I have decided to have a surf around the Internet and find some influence. I want to learn php but I don’t think Freewebs support it, so I’ll have to leave it until I feel it’s necessary to change the service provider.

I thought I’d have lots of time to do up my website when I was on maternity leave – turns out I should’ve done it before the baby was born. Now I’m lucky to get time to write emails and post in our blog every now and again.

But as they say, some day one day will become today. I’ll just be taking this one slow.
