This guy seems to share my taste in movies and has provided some very helpful reviews. The ones on his list that I have seen are among my favourites.
Wah. My disc drive needs replacing, so I’ve been going into uni to watch movies. Today it was hot, so I randomly picked up a pretty-looking DVD box. It turned out to be Together, by Lukas Moodysson. It wasn’t as powerful -to me – as the angsty Fucking Amal or the devastating Lilya 4 Ever, but it was sweet and thought-provoking with a happy ending that somehow avoided being saccharine. Very worthwhile.
