bought me a watch for my birthday. I think it has a not-so-secret message behind it! Need to work on this.

I made a decision to stop shopping and come home because the painter would arrive at my house at 1pm. I arrived at home at 12:35. The painter arrived at 1:15 and stayed until 4:00 (it was only some patchwork on the ceiling) so I was about 25 min. late to class. I was also 5 minutes late to a doctor’s appt. yesterday. I have a long way to go with this goal, but I think that decision making…must go now…is a step in the right direction.
in other words, sometimes I’m ON time, sometimes i’m off. I still have to concentrate on this one. No time constraints for the weekend, but I have a meeting at 8:15am Monday morning, which means I MUST leave my house by 7:15am, no excuses.
Back to work this week, which means lots of meetings. Meetings begin with lovely breakfast foods. The first 30 minutes of the meeting is for socializing, so if you are a few minutes late, no worries! Next week I need to shoot for arriving at 8am, which means leaving home at 7:15am, which hasn’t happened yet. I have begun showering at night and doing my makeup when I get there, since I bike to work, so this is helpful, but it still always proves to be a challenge to get the dog out, have breakfast, etc. I think getting my lunch ready the night before would be good, and having my bag packed with what I need for work and school ahead of time also. If I get up at 5:45am I won’t feel rushed, I’ll be able to put away dishes, take out trash, talk with my fiance etc., so I’m going to try to get to bed on time and do this. Update to follow on Monday. For the weekend…I have no time obligations, just the way I like it!
early to class yesterday, 12 minutes late to my dentist appointment today (see “manage my time better”)
10 minutes late, without doing the reading…what an irresponsible student. But my best friend told me that I get a free pass, because I am wearing a new engagement ring! Obviously my mind was on other things.
I’m on an on-time roll in one sense. I was 5 min. early to class today. But I should have left earlier because I decided to drive today and I was not prepared with time or coins to find a proper parking spot so I got a ticket. I met the goal of being on time, but it feels like I cheated, so it doesn’t count.
I was on time to go running at 7:30am, and I caught a theater performance at 2pm…didn’t check the time, but I was there well before it started.
I didn’t bike, because it was not biking weather ( a super mist covered SF this morning, and yes, some people are hard core, but I am not one of them, it was dark, cold and foggy with a mist that was close enough to rain—no bike!) However, I was ready in time to bike, but my boyfriend offered me a ride, so I was about 30 minutes early so I looked over the assignments that were due today and talked with a classmate about our research, which was enjoyable and helpful. Today being early paid off.
