It was a good experience! I really liked being immersed in the European culture. Their movies have a different tone to them than American ones, I can tell, even though the movies I watched were from radically different genres (one a chick flick, the other a gangster movie). I even caught a few familiar words and a couple phrases. Definitely worth doing again.

It was funny actually. When I searched for french-language movies, the first 3 that popped up were very raunchy movies (the stereotypical french movies people think of). Thankfully, they were followed by some dramas and psych thrillers. I’m thinking of watching them without subtitles first to see what I can catch just from the french dialogue. It probably won’t be much, but it should definitely be interesting.
I’v been aching to get back into french lately. To illustrate the point, I was sitting in a coffee shop the other day and some guy starting speaking in french on his phone.. I immediately whipped my head towards him and unintentionally made eye contact. I’m sure I thoroughly freaked him out!
