The Closet Factory people never got back to us with an estimate, so Huyen wants to take a shot at building one herself based on an idea she found in a magazine for faux-built-in shelving. She’s going to try doing one segment of it to see how it goes. It would look a heck of a lot nicer than what we have now (which looks awful, especially with the new couch in that room).

We had someone from the Closet Factory come in and give us an estimate on a custom-built solution, but she never got back to us after her visit! She said it would be a week at most, but it’s been about four months now.

We’re considering trying it ourselves with a faux-built-in-shelving project we saw in a magazine. We’re going to price out how much it would cost and if it’s significantly cheaper to do it ourselves, we will. I’d like to have something we could move with us (which the Closet Factory option would give us), but that may not be possible.
