start a business

I bought a small business. I hadn’t even thought about coming back here and checking “I’ve done this!”. I’m not going to anyway though. This business isn’t my dream business. Bug maybe I should check it off my list anyway and make a new goal – “start my dream business!”

I went to see a possible location. I really like it but I’m not sure it will work. I’m thinking about another location that I called about months ago but didn’t think would work at the time. Things are different so I’m thinking of calling again and actually visiting that location.

I really can’t afford to start the business that I want to start right now. I’ve been scheming and dreaming trying to figure out how I’m going to make it work but there’s just no way. I can afford a related business. So that’s what I’m going to focus on.

I did an application with my bank. I could get a lot of money as capital for my business. I think in addition to home equity, I could also get a small business loan. I have to call and ask how that works. I only checked into home equity when I was looking at the small business loan page and they said that those were considered as part of the money the owner puts into the business. Cool.

More paperwork. I was supposed to go yesterday and last week and the week before last. I kept putting it off. Not today.

I’ve been looking at locations. I found one that I think could be really good BUT NOW I’M NOT PREPARED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! :( Dang!

Well, it’s time to get prepared, huh? I found the paperwork I needed to send in to the state. It’s filled out but still sitting here in my office. I need to see what my city requires.

I got my research done. I never did do that document though. I found some interesting locations but I didn’t know the addresses so I’m going to look into that soon.

The other people I was working with? Well a few of them flaked out. The last couple are always kind of “busy” when it comes time for doing stuff. And we’re not even really doing anything. I send them information, they don’t have time to read it. :(

I’m going to do some research on insurance. I’m also going to prepare a document that will help me compare the prices of various suppliers.

I’ve just gotten together with a couple of other people and we MAY start a business. I don’t know how serious they are yet.

I’m trying to do all the training I can for the business I want to start. I have a mail-order course that I want to complete today. I bought it months ago and somehow lost one of the tests and the instructions that came with it. So Monday I have to call and ask some questions. I called last week but I kind of got the run-around.

After this, I need to do about five more things on the training/certification end and I’ll be set. Actually, I just had another idea for something I’m going to try, so make that six.
