My job keeps me active but I’m about to move on to something that’s less physical. There goes my daily, built in workout!

because I’ve been doing no work. By work I mean NOT eating like a hog. I’m at -9.
I’ve been eating my leftover Holloween candy. I gained 5 pounds. I still have a huge bag of candy left but I put it away…finally. Out of sight – hopefully staying off my hips.

The last time I was this weight, I was 30 pounds heavier than where I wanted to be but it wasn’t untill I got 40 pounds heavier that I really felt like I wanted to lose some weight. My +30 weight is from me getting a little exercise and eating fast food for dinner every day. I got back here from +40 by getting more exercise even though I was still eating that fast food. I know if I don’t change something I will stay at this weight so I’ve decided to nix my daily burger/taco/chicken/chinese dinner with a salad or sub sandwich. The dressing is full of fat but it’ll still be less calories than burger/taco/chicken/chinese so I’ll continue to lose weight.
It’s funny how losing 10 pounds in a month doesn’t seem like a great goal. It seems like it’s too slow of a weight loss to be satisfying. But when you look back and realize you’ve lost 10 pounds it doesn’t seem like you took a long time to do it. If I lose 10 pounds each month for the next three months, I’ll be at my target weight by NEW YEAR’s and that doesn’t seem that slow at all.

I still look so fat. I wonder if I’ll really look that much better with 20 pounds less. It’s really hard to imagine. I don’t think I looked this bad the last time I was this weight. I think it’s because I’m not as muscular as I was the last time I was this weight.

I was actually at -10 yesterday. And no, I still haven’t done anything concrete to help me reach my goal. Fixing my eating habits is the most important part and I’m just not doing much in that area. The other day I made a chicken dinner using a recipe from a low-fat cooking book I bought. It was pretty good. I also bought a bunch of fruit the other day as snacks. I’ve also been doing okay at drinking more water – at least while I’m at work. I’m still pretty dehydrated though so I need to drink even more.
