win a competition

I read in one horoscope for the year, must have been back in january, that 2008 is my luckiest year for 12 years! And not just mine, all virgos i believe.

I’m not too sure how accurate that is but having said that i won £3 at my mums playing cards one night and i finally won £50 on the premium bonds! That was the most exciting post i’ve had in ages.

Then, there’s a fabulous pub quiz we sometimes go to on a wednesday, seriously the most fun to have on a wednesday night with your clothes on. They do a quiz and bingo and spin the wheel of fortune and play your cards right. And the old favourite ‘open the box’. So last time we went i got a ticket for open the box, some other bloke had a go first, had to spin the wheel and land on ‘open the box’ anyway he didn’t so then he had to pick a ticket and it was mine, i spun, landed on open the box, then i had to choose one of 3 keys to open the box. There was over 300 quid which was so exciting. I picked the wrong key! Never mind! They gave us a bottle of wine anyway.

nothing nothing nothing. I dread to think how much i spend on stamps. My Grandma was bingo mad, she once won £3000. Soooo exciting but she did say it didnt even nearly cover how much she’d spent over the years. Still exciting though. Cant wait for my big win!

I think it’s 2 years since i won anything, actually i know it is cos it was one of the most exciting things that ever happened to me. I’m exaggerating a lot there but i was mega excited. I won a hair pampering kit, with straightners and stuff. I’ve got straight hair and dont tend to bother with it much so they weren’t much use, in fact my friend Clair has nicked off with them(and my bike!), but that’s not the point. I felt so special to have won!

To say i’m entering competitions at least every week, i think that’s pretty bad! However we did win a pub quiz a week ago. Not the same though.

And every morning i still get excited wondering if the postman will bring some exciting news, he doesn’t. Though this morning we did get a voucher for some free butter, so i guess i shouldn’t really grumble.

.... Nothing!

How can this even be? And my friend keeps winning things without even entering competitions! Why doesn’t that happen to me?

I still haven’t won anything. I’m keeping my fingers crossed though. I entered a competition to win tickets to a dora the explorer stage show! It looks very strange but my 2 year old loves Dora so fingers crossed!

nope, still haven’t won owt but, i have joined a survey and they’re going to reward me with a gift voucher, yay!
