communicate with the ex better, mostly about the kids

Cos he’s a **!!!!! No really! He’s totally unreasonable and not bothered. It’s about power i think, he’s got it and he knows it. So if i try and talk about making things better, he’s not bothered cos things are just how he wants them.

And! at the last mediation session we agreed he’d ring me once a month to make arrangements about the kids. Well, he should have rung last wednesday and didn’t. In fairness(ha!) i’d forgotten about it too.

I know this goal is about me communicating better with him but i really wish he’d communicate better with me too. Or even that he wanted to communicate better with me.

1st session of mediation really didn’t go well. I think this might be harder than i’d thought, more fool me.

And someone drove into the back of me on the way there!

We’re having mediation, starting next week, and i just hope it works and we manage to sort some stuff out.

Going forward I really want for us to be able to sort things out between the two of us but at the moment we just dont seem to be able to. I feel sad about that and really hope the mediation helps.

We’re doing ok, there’s not so many blazing rows any more but i think things could be better and we’re going to need to talk about things as they change over the years.

I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about the mediation. I feel i’ve mostly dealt with the split and all that and that all this thinking about stuff and talking about it might be hard.

Ah well, I’ll give it a go.
