Shoot 5 rolls of B&W film and see what comes out

working on this. Shot most of a roll of B&W but then loaded a color roll instead.
Did buy a Lowepro bag this weekend, so now I can more easily carry my stuff around!

Funny, I’m finding myself reading about, buying for and thinking about photography. Just not actually shooting too much…guess that will come though.

Did make up a list of things to shoot as a composition lesson. Maybe I’ll make that a goal itself

took my dad’s old camera which I haven’t used in about 18years and got a battery, lens covers etc. Shot about 1/4 of a roll of film until the security guard and the building I was photographing asked me to stop. EEEEEK who know I was violating some unposted security policy. I just liked the way the shadows looked on the walls. Ooops, Hahaha!

Anyway, been carrying that camera around and it feels good to be identifying myself that way again.

I took my dad’s old camera out of the closet and out of town with me this week. Bought a battery and some new lens caps for the lenses I have.
Wanted to shoot a couple rolls, but unfortunately, the weather turned nasty and the sky was grey. No sunlight to speak of.
I have been carrying that camera around though, getting used to the weight and the feeel of it again.
Feels good…I know it’s just a matter of time (like this weekend) when I load it up and shoot me some film….
Weird how this photography thing as become so emotional for me….just weird

but I have not shot these rolls of film yet because I’m afraid I’m going to miss some GREAT color shot if I shoot in B&W. How goofy is that thinking?

Need to just suck it up and do this!

Got a couple rolls of Pan-x, Couple of Tri-x and one of infared which I’ve never shot with before.
Looking forward to experimenting with it a bit.
Found a great photoshop today too. Will def. be back there.

my lack of creativity and spirituality I think. How weird that it is related to photography but that makes perfect sense if you knew me.
Photography was my life for a lot of years but when my dad died, I really kinda quit doing any significant photography for a while (16 years actually)

Thinking that’s the reason that the camera shop in my dream is in the sorry state it’s in. Need to have some more creativeness in my life and get that “shop” in order.

Tomorrow for sure, I’m out on the road and doing the photo work…

I’ve been having this recurring dream about going to a photo place that has a darkroom but the place is shutting down and going out of business. There’s still some camera supplies for sale and there’s a darkroom with some amazing art work in it. Not sure if they are photographs or paintings, can’t remember, but they are incredible.
Thinking that part of my “photo soul” is missing since I haven’t been in a real darkroom for a long time. I’ve been doing digital work which just isn’t the same.
The store in my dream is the place to get the supplies, but also the place to create work. There’s one of those circular doors in the darkroom area like we had in jr high/high school. Go through the doors and there’s a messy darkroom poorly supplied and a mess….
I think I need to pay more attention to this dream.

where in my town I can still buy b&w film. eeeek
or, where to process it….eeeek again.

This will be an adventure. Need to dig out my dad’s old camera and make sure the battery is up to snuff etc…

Going out of town somewhere this weekend, it’ll be fun….

I’ve been shooting color and digital shots for quite a while now.

Want to go back to my “roots” and use a manual 35mm SLR to shoot a few rolls of black & white just to see what shows up.

I’ve lost touch with this part of myself. Think I’ll re-visit her.
