work hard, play lots, and give as much as i can to those in need

i am sponsoring a child from Ghana. I also will have the opportunity to visit my sponsored child.

it is one of the most gratifying things I have done. I get letters from him…and he tells me what he did for christmas, and what he got for christmas from me … he got some nice shiny black shoes which he was very proud of.

he colours me pictures for me all the time ….. its a great feeling to know that somewhere out there, i have helped this person

i definitely have been working much. we are currently going through renovations. (almost complete!)

i have been trying to MAKE time for people i love …

we went to pick up a little girl whom i love very much. she is 2. every since she was small .. we take her and just dote on her and love her to bits.

her mom leaves her at various places while she goes to drink.. .. i hate this …. while it is good that she has the logic to find care before she does this…. the babies STILL need their mom. i went to pick her up at the sitters place yesterday … and today i have to go bring her back because i work tomorrow! ... but i hate to bring her back knowing that she is just going to a sitter’s house. i take her when i can.

to be the key …. i need to make time to do the things i want. and not allow work to become the center of my life. (except for a period of time) (because i am doing ‘on the job’ training)

i am finding that i need to find time DAILY to do at least one thing that i love to do…soemthing that brings me peace… just for a moment. life is hectic at the moment…..and everyone needs to take that time for themselves i think.

a woman in our community lost her husband this past week
very sad. we had the opportunity to give when they ordered a fairly large order for their service… a few of us got together and paid for it all.. so all they have to do now is pick it up.

most of my goals are long term goals.. so wanted to enter something that is achievable EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
