I’ve always been fascinated by sign language, which probably started when I first read my favourite book, The Raging Quiet by Sherryl Jordan. It’s set in medieval times and the main character meets a deaf boy who everyone thinks is mad, but she works out a sign language to speak to him and so then gets tried for witchcraft.
Anyway, I’ve been picking up some basics from a website and am considering buying their books or DVDs. But so far I’ve learnt up to P in the alphabet, and some basic greetings, phrases and questions :)
