#3 - Leonard Cohen's logo

Unified Heart logo
Not really a commercial design, but is a logo
Sometimes in this logo he has the shin symbol with hands.
“In the middle is the Hebrew letter shin that looks like the letter W. Shin is for Shaday (pronounced Sha Di (eye) which means god all mighty and is the symbol on all mezuzas or the small objects on doors in Jewish homes. These objects contain the 3 paragraphs of the Shema which is probably the most important prayer in Judaism and is an extract from the Old Testement or Torah. This prayer contains the command to place these objects on doors to mark the house as being a jewish home and to remind occupants when they go through the doors of the house that they are jewish. The opening lines of the Shema are recited on the death bed and would be recited by jews in times of peril or danger.”

#2 - Hayabusa

Meaning of this kanji is peregrine falcon. Hayabusa is a brand of MMA clothing. It is also the model name of a super fast Suzuki motorcycle.

#1 - Alfa Romeo

This is of a wheel of a car I drove when on vacation.

ALFA = Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili

Alfa’s badge incorporates emblems from fifth century Italy. It was designed in 1910 by an Italian draughtsman Romano Cattaneo who used two heraldic devices traditionally associated with Milan:

On the left is a red cross on a white field, the emblem of Milan, which Cattaneo had seen on the door of the Castello Sforzesco. The red cross is typical Christian symbol of medieval heraldry and used extensively throughout the crusaides.

On the right is the Biscione, the emblem of the House of Visconti, rulers of Milan in the 14th century;
Re the “Biscione” – it is a giant snake eating a man. The man in the serpents mouth is controversial. The man in the image is alternatively described as a child (the modern interpretation) or a Saracen or Moor (aka: a Muslim). So the whole serpent motif is all about the Christians Crusaders’ defeat of the infidels.

I will interject here that there have been so many unnecessary deaths in the name of religion. It is never that simple, but it just seems religion to me religion is used too much as the cause people use to justify so many things that are wrong.

Continuing, in 1918, after the company was purchased by Nicola Romeo, the badge was redesigned with the help of Giuseppe Merosi. A dark blue metallic ring was added, containing the inscription “ALFA — ROMEO” and “MILANO” separated by two Savoy dynasty knots to honour the Kingdom of Italy. After the victory of the P2 in the inaugural Automobile World Championship in 1925, Alfa added a laurel wreath around the badge.
In 1946, after the abolition of the monarchy, the Savoy knots were replaced with two curvy lines. The name “MILANO,” the hyphen, and the lines were eliminated when Alfa Romeo opened its factory at Pomigliano d’Arco, Naples in the early 1970s.
