Midterms almost over 13 months ago

Alright, so I’ve completed 4 out of 5 midterms, gotten 3 of them back.
Two of them I was above average
One I was not.. physics..

I really am starting to spite my physics teacher in highschool, see in highschool, they teach physics and calculus separate – like in phys, v-d/t… where as in calculus, v=ds/dt

I know that’s not a huge difference, but for a while there you really do miss the connection, between physics and calculus and how one is built on the other.. why they teach them separately, I have NO idea, but it’s really silly.

Physics is driving me bonkers.. it’s such a ridiculous out there class, like the ideas are just wow.. like what am i doing.
Dynamics is kicking my butt
Circuits got impossibly hard.. they were like “Oh.. DC circuits, we’ll lead you to believe the class is easy..” and then BAM AC CIRCUITS MOFO!!!!! EAT IT!!!! haha yeah.

I still adore calculus though, I don’t know solving the problems is so satisfying :)

I have another 3 hour lab tomorrow.. f me.

What a month and half will do. 13 months ago

SO I’ve pulled a 360 here and am beginning to re-weigh my options, yet again.

A month and a half in, and geomatics is not at all to my liking. I enjoy some aspects of it, but the programming part, I’m so over it.

I went to a career lady, and she suggested either mechanical or civil – my automatic choice was civil, so I dropped the programming class and I’m taking all civil. They’re fairly interesting – dynamics is BRUTAL, as is physics, but I get by.

I’m just a little shocked really as to how much I dislike the geo course.. haha oh well.

I’m in the midst of midterms also… oh joy!

I’m sorry I haven’t written forever! Eep!
Anyway, I’m currently going into second year GEOMATICS engineering and I’m extremely excited! it’s a pretty up and coming field. If I don’t enjoy it, I always have my civil I can switch into but I really feel like this is where I belon

Onto spring classes, I’m enjoying myself!

Sooo,
1 final down, 3 to go.
Wednesday and Thursday are going to be the shit shows. I’m actually paying the school to rape me.

I guess by the end of this week I’ll have to give a wrap up entry hey? How scary is that, almost done my first year of university! Yikes!

Bernoulli and Reynoulds number.... Hm 20 months ago

So hard, so frustrating.

Ok.. so geomatics.. mechanical.. or chem

We have to pick our options for next year, this upcoming Monday. I’m scared!

And physics.. offcially killing me.. I love my chem course though..CHYA!!

If only everything came ideally.. then I could just apply Bernouli!!
Is this flow laminar or turbulent? Oh god. GUESS WHO’S STUDYING FOR FINAAAAALS!

geomatics

or mechanical?

i’ve narrowed it down to two!

Well, I finished first semester and I’m onto my second.
I would definitely call it a huge learning experience.

I am a procrastinator!! Huge!! But I learned my lesson. This semester has started off a lot more smoother then last.

I was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, so now I’m dealing with that, taking insulin during lectures and such.

I was thinking that the diabetes would get in the way, but in actuality, it’s keeping me on track. I’m working harder, I’m taking on the challenge of blood sugar and improper integrals.

It’s interesting, I’ll say that much, but I finally have my PHYSICS CLASS!!! WOO!! I missed my physics dearly.

done finals (as of last wednesday, late post!)

Well needless to say, the statics course absolutely raped me on the final, i think was actually waddling after haha, everyone was the same though so I felt a teeny bit better.

chem final, profs killed us

calculus final, easy peasy

linear algebra, haha that’s a toss up

pretty happy, im going to work on my study habits big time though.

Untitled 2 years ago

got another midterm mark back
linear algebra – 32/40 i’m happy with that definitely!
sooo i’ve been weighing my options, thinking of what engineering i maybe interested in.

im thinking geomatics with a specialization in biomedical… i think i’ll go talk to the undergrad office though, see what they say. there’s not a lot of interest in geomatics unfortunately, but i think it’s pretty interesting
