I have the 2007 Far Side “off-the-wall calendar on my desk at work, and it is great. I have about 25 of them from days past pinned to my cubicle wall, because they make me smile, and because I do not want to just throw them away. Nothing cheers up my morning more than revealing the new page and getting a kick out his off-the-wall wit and the most wonderful thing is that they are always so true too! It was hard, but I resisted the temptation to look ahead, and I am glad.
I sure wish he would write/draw some new stuff. He is such a genius.
My favorite one has to be the one for January 23. It has a pair of cavemen inside a trap. They have a bag of what I presume is food for bait, with a stick and a rope in thier hand, and a sabertooth coming up. The kicker is that they are INSIDE the trap…......and the line under it says “Shh, Zog, here come one now”
