I completed Set 12, which means I am over half way now. The aligners are working wonders with my teeth. I am very happy with them. yes, sometimes with a new set, it still hurts for a day or so. But it’s totally worth it. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

I am now 1/3 way through my InvisAlign program. I am very happy with the progress and my aligners so far. My teeth are much whiter than when I started (due to having to brush right after eating/drinking anything other than water) and I am starting to notice the changes. The right side of my top teeth are almost all straightened out. My two big front teeth are starting to line up properly. I smile a lot more and showing off my teeth now LOL. I am excited and looking forward to seeing the finished teeth in November/December this year.
Just in case anyone is interested, here’s a LOT of information from people who are using invisalign:
4 of 25… Sometimes I get a little impatient with time, but then, I know it will hurt my teeth if the changes were too drastic too quickly. I have pretty much mastered the routines. Don’t think I will be writing very much more till later on in the treatment.
Started Aligner No.2 last Thursday, there were bit more stripping of the sides of a tooth, more pain and blood and the bottom aligner was an extreme tight fit… OUCH. I am starting to see an improvement of my teeth already. :)
I also asked the dentist to print the “after” picture for me, so I can keep myself motivated through the pain. :D
LOL, ah the Invisalign diet… It was not my intention to lose weight. My teeth are less sore now (at least till next Thursday when Aligner No.2 gets fitted in). Time to eat REAL food.
The first few days was definitely not good days for someone who loves food like I do. I was on a diet of soup, yogurt and REALLY soft rice for the past 4 days. I was constantly hungry regardless how much of soup/yogurt/rice I ate each meal.
The good side though, I no longer eat snacks between meals or have lollies/chocolates/fried chicken. Oh and my teeth are definitely whiter from constant brushing.
The teeth are getting less sore now. There’s a strange “itchy” feeling now… (can teeth actually be itchy?)
I am looking forward to eating solid food again.
Since InvisAlign aligners need to be taken out for each meal, and put back in after brushing the teeth when meals are finished. It’s good and it’s bad… Good that I can take them out for food, bad that each time I put them back in, it hurts. This morning, I forgot to budget the extra time for cleaning/fitting aligners… and almost ended up late for work.
I think these are only teething problems (LOL), and soon I will get the new routines down packed :) SO excited to see the change… eventually.
OUCH! I had to have 6 strippings of the sides of my bottom teeth to fit the first set of aligners in. It was rather painful, but bearable without anesthetics. The whole appointment with stripping the teeth and fitting the aligners took just over an hour. Now, my teeth straightening offically begin!
I was all set and ready for my first set of aligners yesterday, then an hour before my appointment, the dentist’s assitant called and told me the doctor would be going home early today because his son was sick. yes, I know it cannot be helped… Now my first day of aligners is pushed back to next Thursday. Hopefully it will actually happen then. Not that I am looking forward to the pain, but I just want to get it over and done with, soon.
