have offered me 0.5 of a full time job that will tie in with what I’m already doing. I’m happy doing my own thing at Redhill so this will work out as 4 days employment, one of them heavy and extending into the evening. The drawback is this: It’s only temporary and only for 2 months. So until I have a permanent job I can’t call this done, but for 2 months there’s a respite from looking, at least, and when I start work at Epsom and find out what the situation is there may be more hopeful news.

for a part-time job going at a Learndirect centre in another part of Surrey (a part I don’t know at all!) and I put in my application by e-mail yesterday. I’m really hoping I can get this one because I could possibly keep my Redhill job and do this one too.
I have been offered an interview for a very hard job, and I have to teach something at the interview, so I may do a lot of whining about this.
I am fond of Andy, my boss who has employed me temporarily at Guildford and Redhill. He told me that Karen wants her job back at the beginning of March, but that he would look for some other capacity in which to employ me. This will only be part time, I fear, but it’s nice of him to say he will find me something. Doing nothing is very hard.
The agencies still get in touch from time to time but the jobs they have are usually too far away, or they somehow just vanish.
Phoned the manager who denied allknowledge of job vacancy.
However, 2 agencies contacted me because I had posted my CV online and both have pretty good jobs going, one local, which I will go for even though it sounds like a Hell of a lot of work!
I was tipped off by the lady who answered my application before that the Esher office has an application coming up, so I was able to jump the gun and put an application into that one early.
on Monday. I must find time on Sunday to prepare for the interview as I have good materials from Nextstep for this.
Offered an interview at the Slough Learndirect centre, asked them to change the day because it co-incides with Redhill.
at a local 6th Form college teaching English Advanced level. Not many teaching hours so plenty of preparation time. This could be my first step into the world of grown-up teaching. Fingers crossed.
in this temp job. Damn, I thought Andy would keep me on until Christmas. 5 Dec. is my last day. Glad really because I know this job is not keeping me busy or making me feel fulfilled.
