Haven’t been exercising as much as I should, and my diet hasn’t been too swell either. The numbers are good for the most part, but I don’t feel like I’m “in shape”. Need to lose at least 1 inch off my waist.

Went to Syr Community Health Center yesterday for blood work. They weighed me, took blood pressure and pulse. I weighed 109, but a couple pounds may have been clothing. Not even 5 days ago I weighed myself at home and was 99lbs.
Didn’t ask about pulse, but my blood pressure was “very good”

Apparently I’m underweight now? Aside from the weight and BMI everything is progressing nicely. I’m not going to consider it a big deal. I’m certainly NOT starving myself. All I’ve really done differently is cut out some of the junk (processed foods / wheat products and sugars) and added in A LOT more vegetables.

Current
BMI: 19.02
W2H ratio: .81
Waist circumference: 29.75”
Body fat: 25.25%
Weight: 104
Goal
BMI: Above 18.5, but not exceeding 19.02
W2H ratio: Under .80
Waist: 26”
Body fat: 24% or less
Weight: 105 – 110 (there should be a gain due to increasing muscle, which weighs more than fat…I guess?)
A couple weeks ago, a couple friends were going to a nutrition class on how to lose weight, and asked me if I’d like to go to learn how to gain it. I may have no need to lose weight, but certainly don’t NEED to gain any. AND it turns out that I really should reduce my body fat. Appearances can be deceiving!
I used to want to gain weight, or at least mass (in my legs/hips/butt). Although I’d still like a bit more curvaceousness, it’s not something I’ve obsessed over. My trouble-area the past few years has been my waistline. Again, although I’m slightly troubled by it, it’s not so bad that I’ve obsessed….and perhaps that’s not a good thing considering the health implications.
The past couple years I’ve tried to implement changes to my lifestyle for health purposes…but usually end up slacking. Having this as a goal might motivate me to exercise as much as I should rather than the bare minimum. For my health, for my appearance, self confidence/esteem, mood, energy level, etc….
